Ammani pledged more of such support from the council and advised the community leaders to also forward requests to the state Department of Community Development.

He also urged them to pray for the peace and stability of the nation in view of the current security challenges.

Ammani called on other community members to emulate Marmara community on proper arrangement and good organisation in executing projects that would benefit them.

He warned the youths against violence and urged them to return to their respective family farms as a bold step to fight poverty.

The chairman said that youths’ involvement in agriculture would surely enhance food production in rural areas, stressing that the efforts would further strengthen government programmes geared towards food security.

According to him, his administration has renovated primary healthcare centres at Malumfashi and Almakiyayi villages and disbursed cash and tools to aid various community initiated projects.

Responding, the Community Project Committee Chairman, Malam Usman Osi, expressed appreciation for the support, stressing that it was the first gesture since the commencement of the project.

Osi implored the council chairman to complete the construction of the health clinic in the area, adding that when completed, the clinic would facilitate healthcare delivery to the community.
