Ten more dead bodies have been uncovered under the rubbles of a collapsed wall in the area affected by flood disaster in Jibia town in Katsina.
The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman disclosed this while receiving prominent persons that paid him condolence visit over the death of ex-IGP Coomassie.
The emir clarified that few days after the disaster, residents of the area began to feel a smelly odour coming from the direction of the collapsed wall.
He added that the residents reported the matter to the district head of Jibia who authorized a search under the rubbles where ten more rotten corpses were uncovered.
The emir said the ten dead bodies were buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
It could be recalled that the flood disaster that hit Jibia town has led to the death of over sixty persons while over 500 houses were destroyed.
Similarly, no fewer than twenty two persons were reported missing as a result of the floods.
Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has since visited the area where he condoled the affected persons and pledged that government would assist them in re-building their properties and restoring them to normal live.
