Katsina APC supporters vow to purchase nomination form for Buhari

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State have vowed to raise money for the purchase of the party’s presidential nomination form for General Mohammed Buhari.

Addressing newsmen yesterday on the outcome of the party’s executive meeting, Chairman of the party in Katsina, Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa said already about N200,000 was collected during the meeting.

Inuwa explained that members of the party in the state are committed and ready to raise N27 million to secure nomination form for General Buhari to contest the 2015 Presidential election.

“We will go around, meet all the stakeholders to raised N27 million for the purchase of nomination form for General Buhari. He is our sole candidate for 2015 Presidential election, we are ready to give our moral and financial assistance to him” he added.

He commended APC members from across the state for reaffirming their support to General Buhari despite the emergence of some presidential aspirants under the party.

On other issues discussed at the meeting, Inuwa said the party has set up a five member disciplinary committee to investigate allegation of disloyalty by two local government party chairmen.

Inuwa who refuse to disclose the names of the party chairmen, said they will be summoned to answer the allegations before making their names public adding that the party will discipline any erring elected executive at state and local government levels so as to bring sanity within the party.

The party chairman warned candidates contesting for various political positions ahead of the 2015 election not to use thugs during their campaigns.

He said any candidate that use thugs during his political campaign will be disqualified from contesting the election.
