Daurawa revealed that operatives of the Hisbah swooped on the men at Hills and Valley a recreational resort in Dawakin Kudu in the outskirt of Kano metropolis, after they got intelligence report that some youths, all men, were planning a wedding of two of their friends.
He said Faruk and Abba (bride) who is on the run had under the guise of celebrating Faruk birthday sent out invitation on WhatsApp and printed out cards that friends should join them in the epoch-making event.
The commander added that but for the timely intervention of his men, Faruk and his friends would have been lynched by irate youths of the adjourning community that have mobilized to attack them over the news of the forbidden event that filtered to the people of the town.
