The Police Public Relations Officer of Kaduna State Command, Aliyu Mukhtar has been elevated from his Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP) rank to Deputy Superintendent of Police, (DSP).
Mukhtar who resumed office with his new rank yesterday while speaking to the media said he is excited over his new promotion which means he is being appreciated.
He particularly expressed his gratitude to the Almighty God for the honour and the Inspector General of Police (IG), Ibrahim Idris; Kaduna State Commission of Police, Mr Austin Iwar and Management Team of the Command for their support.
DSP Mukhtar said CP Iwar since assumption of office has ensured that the Public Relations Department is functional and discharged its duty accordingly. Therefore any glory coming to the Department must go to him first and his Management Team.
Similarly, he thanked his wife and extended family for their support and advice in the course of discharging his duty.
He added that CP Iwar has been supporting him from day one of his posting and he will never relent in his efforts to give his best in making sure that citizens are safe and secure.
“I urge my colleagues not to relent, you see when we were in the Academy we were taught that one can’t be a police officer if you are not brief. So, I implore them to continue to be brief, express best practices and should also be cautious when it comes to human right excesses.
“I thanked all the staff of the Public Relations Department of the Command for their loyalty and support to me since I assumed office.
They have given me pieces of advice that has helped me to take “I also used this medium to thank my colleagues in the pen pushing profession for their unflinching support since I assumed office. We have worked like a team in disseminating information to Kaduna State residents. They also share in this my moment of glory because without them I will never achieve anything,” he said.
DSP Mukhtar Aliyu is from Kebbi State. He did his primary and secondary education in Yauri and Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State respectively.
He studied Pure Chemistry at Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and graduated in 2010. He observed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) in Kaduna State in 2011.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State and passed out as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 2013.
