Kaduna: Foundation trains widows, orphans, disables on skills acquisition

Kaduna based philanthropist and founder of a Foundation called Shaadiya Isah Suleiman has trained 1000 widows, orphans and people living with disabilities in the state.
The is training aimed at assisting the less privileged in the society.
Speaking at Gamji Hall, venue of the graduation event, Shaadiya noted that people who lost their breed winners end up as beggars or as house maids in the society.
“ They end up as beggars without education, hence, the reason for setting up this foundation “two years ago beginning with 200-1000 trainee currently. Our aim is to give such people a life,” she said.
Our correspondents observed that the women were trained in hair dressing, soap making, local art sowing, art and die, perfume, bed sheet design, tailoring, bakery.
“ Carpet design, fish and poultry farming and ICT training.
In a speech, Musa Zubairu Usman stated that the importance of skills acquisition cannot be over emphasize.
He therefore appealed to beneficiaries not to compromise standards and quality of their products in other to excel.
Earlier in his speech, Peace Ambassador Evangelist Pastor Buru Yohanna, said for a physically challenged woman to establish a foundation of this nature to assist others deserved greater support from all and sundry especially Philanthropist, government and NGOs.
He prayed to God to support her for the noble course of bringing food to the table of the poorest.
The high points of the events include colourful display of the products of apprentice trainees and presentations of awards of certificates to the 1,000 trainees, who thanked Hajiya Suleiman for her gesture.
