Kaduna considers lockdown over rising cases of COVID-19

Kaduna state government said it is considering another round of lockdown following the upsurge in the number of people infected with COVID-19 in the state.
The State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i disclosed this during the signing of the 2021 budget in kaduna yesterday.
According to him, the government will not take chances despite reports of COVID-19 vaccines being developed around the world.
El-Rufa’i added that it is mandatory for every employee of the state government to undergo COVID-19 test.
He also stressed that the state government will also reintroduce the mobile court to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
So far, Kaduna has recorded about 2,778 cases of COVID-19 cases with 45 deaths.
