Kaduna state governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alh. Isah Mohammad Ashiru Kudan has charged youths to forget about white-collar jobs and engage in self employed jobs.
He said whoever depended on government for a job would be disappointed because the government lacks industries that will accommodate all teaming youth in the country.
The governorship aspirant who disclosed this in Southern Kaduna when he visited the area at the weekend. said his administration will provide enabling environment for youths to be self empowered.
According to him, the youths need to change their attitude and stay off drugs.
“We must try and re-orient our youth’s mindset about white-collar jobs, because those jobs are not available. They need to understand the need for them to aspire to be self employed. Those who are into agriculture should hold on to it with sincerity and God will help them on it,” he said.
Alh. Ashiru, who is a serving House of Representative member representing Kudan/Makarfi federal constituency, assured the people of the state that if elected governor, his administration will ensure that the youths are engaged in agricultural activities.
He said already, a 13 man committee has been formed to bring out a road map for his government, so as to transform the state within a short period.
