The retired judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High court of Justice, Hon. Justice Mwada Balami, has called on the Federal Government to give enough funds to the security agencies to enable them curb crime in the country.
He also charged the government of the day to place the vigilante groups on salaries so as to carry out their duties effectively in the society.
Balami, who made the call in an interview with newsmen in his residence in Gwagwalada during the celebration of Christmas.
While speaking on the proliferation of ammunition/guns, he said it was not good to allow every individual to hold guns in our society due to danger associated with it.
On the Christmas message, Balami pleaded with Nigerians not to celebrate Christmas under intoxication, calling on them to shun any act capable of causing rancor and acrimony during the period.
He, however, used the Christmas festivity to advise the clergymen to always preach true gospel of Jesus Christ.
