A political forum, known as political CAKUS, comprising of youths from Tafawa-Balewa, Bogoro and Dass LGA’s of Bauchi state, has donated cash to empower the underprivileged in the area, just as the forum decried the poverty level in the society and attributed it to lack of employment opportunities

The chairman of the forum, Michael Kogos made the statement in Tafawa-Balewa, during the distribution ceremony of the cash donated to hundreds of youths with a view to empower them as part of the forum’s campaign strategy in support of Jonathan come 2015.

According to him, the lack of unemployment in the country is because our politicians lack political will to create job opportunities to the teeming youths even when the country enjoys stable democracy.

Kogos added that the cash donation to the youths was informed by the need to cushion the effect of hardship among the unprivileged which he said is one of the reasons for the current security challenges in the country.

According to the chairman, about 80 youths were given the sum of N15, 000, while 200 enjoyed the sum of N1,000 each, including poverty materials worth thousands, as palliative measures to ameliorate the suffering of the youths in the area.

“Honestly, the ceremony wouldn’t have taken place if not for the intervention of the TETFUND Executive Secretary, Professor Suleiman Bogoro, whose appointment is a good omen to the entire education sector in the state and he has been very helpful in the implementation of Jonathan Transformation agenda”, said Kogos.
