The Jigawa state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said, any candidate that is not recognised by the state PDP executive is not eligible to contest for any position in the party.
This was announced by the Zonal Vice Chairman North-west Alhaji Aminu Jahun adding that it is only state executive of the party has a mandate to screen its members before given them the chance to contest for various positions.
He explained that, Jigawa state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold its state congresses on this coming Saturday.
According to him, the new returnees from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) are also given special recognition to contest some positions in the forthcoming state congresses.
He accused the two terms gubernatorial candidate of the party, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim for trying to cause division in the party.
Jahun lamented that the two terms gubernatorial candidate has enjoyed every support from the party than any other member.
“Even those who worked for the party more than him were not given the chance he got to contest twice”, he concluded.
Jahun then assured justice and transparent to all members of the party adding that PDP is for everybody.
