The Jigawa state government has urged the Jigawa state Forum to support government’s effort in sensitizing farmers on the importance of returning the loan given to them for others to benefit.
The Special Assistance to Governor Muhammad AbubakarBadaru on Community Inclusion, Alhaji Hamza Muhammad Hadeja made the call at a two day’s pre-convention workshop for Civil Society Organisation held yesterday at the Three Star Hotel Dutse.
He explained that, as part of the present administration’s effort to boost the economy and to empower youths through agriculture, the state government spent billions of naira and buy agricultural inputs and distributed it to thousands of farmers as loan.
He said, the agricultural inputs was given to farmers since 2015 with intention to return it after harvest for others to benefit, but unfortunately ninety percent of the beneficiaries despite they were benefited but refused to return the loan.
According to him,though its government’s properties but still it is belong to all Jigawa citizens and other can only benefit when the beneficiaries return it.
AlhajiHamza then urged people in the state to support good intentions of Badaru’s administration of providing jobs opportunities to Jigawa teeming youths for better economic development inthe state.
