The Jigawa state executive council has approved the sum of N7.5 billion for roads and electrification, street lightening projects across the state.
The state commissioner of Works and housing, Engineer Aminu Usman dropped the hint while briefing news men after the meeting held at government house Dutse.
He explained that, the projects include the construction of 63km road from Gwaram to Basurka which was awarded to alrene construction company limited at total sum of N5.61 billion.
He stressed that the 2.5 eastern bye pass is going to be reconstructed at the cost of N5.9 million while Ringim township roads will consume N9.5 million and awarded to Triacter Nigeria limited.
He added that, the council also approved the the electrification projects from Gagarawa substation to Gumel, Sule-tankarkar and Garki at total sum of N370m.
The commissioner maintained that, other street lightening projects includes Hadejia 150 units at sum of N90m and Babura 230 unit at sum of 130m and the contract was given to Alrayyan company limited.
While the township Solar power in Chaichai can generate 65 units and Shamdam Nagogo construction firm worth N8.3m and to be completed in three months.
The commissioner then commended governor Badaru as according to him, the projects are going to benefit all and sundry, irrespective of politics or party affiliation.
