It’s not easy to govern Edo, Okaijiesan of Esan tells Obaseki

The Onojie of Irrua and Okaijiesan of Esan, William Momodu II has received the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party for the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki and his running mate, Hon. Philip Shaibu into his palace in Irrua in Esan Central Local Government Area of the State.
The paramount traditional ruler in Edo Central district of Edo State, admitted however that it is difficult to govern Edo State when PDP Campaign Council paid the monarch a courtesy call on Saturday at his palace.
He prayed for the Governor and members of his campaign team, sought the intervention of Obaseki’s Government in power problem and other infrastructural challenges in the locality.
“…Well I know, it is not easy to rule Edo.
“May Allah continue to bless you and members of your entourage”, he said.
Earlier in a remark, the PDP Candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, promised to liaise with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) towards addressing the epileptic power supply in the area.
He requested for a vast land for cultivation by his Government and promised to build more infrastructure in the Local Government.
Obaseki also commended the traditional rulers for their cooperation and support during his first tenure which will end on November 12, 2020.
“Our goal is to make sure that we energise Irrua.
Addressing PDP members and its supporters in Uwesan Ward 2 and 3, Governor Obaseki, assured eligible voters to re-elect him to enable him build more roads, provide water and rural electrification in the next four years.
