The Management of Edo University, Iyamho, Edo State has urged students of the institution to be of good conduct.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, said any student who violates the code of conduct of the University, will be expelled.
He gave the admonition at the Weekend while administering Matriculation Oath to 503 fresh students of the 2019/2020 academic session of the University.
He revealed that Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) offered admission to six Hundred and Eighty nine (689) to study in the University but only Five Hundred and three (503) were cleared and qualified to study in their chosen fields.
According to him, gangsterism, smoking, possession or use of hard illicit drugs, examination malpractice in the school and prostitution and other offences, attract out right expulsion from the University.
He said: “I advised that you read up the rules and regulations of the University to be properly guided”.
He urged the newly admitted students to use the opportunity to make the best use of the facilities provided to enhance their learning in the University.
The Vice Chancellor also advised parents to partner with the management in the training of their Children to become worthy ambassadors to the nation by monitoring their activities and performance in terms of class attendance, test, assignment and examination results through the CANVAS LMS available in the University.
