Insurgency: Lalong, Fintiri pledge support to Nigerian Army

The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has vowed to support the personnel of the Nigerian Army in combating all elements of criminalities in the state.
The governor made the declaration in his remark at the West African Social Activities held Sunday, at Maxwell Khobe Cantonment of the Nigerian Army, Jos.
He said Plateau will not go back to dark days of incessant killings and massacre where some notorious elements always stand to kill at will and go unpunished.
Governor Lalong said, “my government is working round the clock together with the security agencies to sort out all the criminals and get them prosecuted so as to serve as deterrence to others”.
On a regular interval, his Adamawa State counterpart, Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said “Adamawa state, being one of the epi centers of Boko Haram insurgency that is still experiencing occasional incursion will remain eyes open in mobilizing every necessary support to curbing the menace of the insurgency”.
Speaking on similar occasion, Gov. Fintiri said the insurgents have continued to raid strategic locations in the state in search of food, fuel and other necessities, narrating the closeness of some of the affected villages to Sambisa forest as one of the cause of the intensifying dreadful attacks”.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Maxwell Gidado, governor Fintiri congratulated the Officers and men under units and formations of 3 Div Nigerian Army for Organizing the 2020 WASA just as he encouraged the Div to do much more in tackling insurgency in his state, nothing, “Adamawa state is looking forward to giving every necessary support in ensuring that the excesses of the insurgents is carefully addressed.”.
