The National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna State has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Igbinedion University Okada (IUO), Edo State.
The collaboration is aimed at staff exchange, students’ training and research.
Other areas of the collaboration include academic/technical information, awareness campaigns and establishment of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO chairman.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye disclosed this in a statement issued in Benin-City, Edo State.
He said programs of “the water resources institute are germane to IUO goals and aspirations”.
In a related development, the VC said the University was working out modalities for the establishment of Cyber-Engineering security as a course.
Ezemony explained that the school has been admitted into CISCO- a world class IT industry that deals with networking.
He said that the University has created a smart campus that allows students to excel in a knowledge base driven by IT.
