General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate has informed that the insecurity challenges bedeviling the country should not be considered as what could be solved within six to nine months period.
Buhari, who was in Gusau, Zamfara state capital Thursday for campaign visit assured that, his administration will do everything possible to end the nasty activities of insurgents that eventually turned enterprising north-eastern states to a hell-hole which compelled thousands of innocent citizens of the country into taking refuge across neighbouring countries.
He attributed the accrued rate of corruption, killings, kidnappings and armed robbery to the inability of the bad leadership running the affairs of the country, saying unless if people would arise to ensure a purposeful leader who is surrounded by patriotic assistants and clique of advisers, is voted into office as next president then, law and order will return.
“The size and speed of insecurity has to be carefully studied by experts, to know what exactly is the demand of the terrorists, then ways to amicably solve everything, but if such effort is failed then, security operatives should be well retrained as well as providing formidable weapons to overcome the situation”, Buhari stressed.
The candidate further drew the attention of people in the state to bear in mind that, voting somebody like him as president will serve as the era within which the lost glory and prosperity of the country will be restored, adding that, he is not vying for the office to enrich himself but, rather to ensure rights are protected as expected.
“Zamfara has been known to be one of the lucrative states across the nation in terms of mineral resources and agricultural productions, therefore, needs amount of attention to facilitate exploration of mines as well as implementation of all year round farming so that more jobs would be created for our millions of unemployed youth”, Buhari said.
