The former National Chairman Inter-party Advisory Council(IPAC) and the Director General National Taskforce to Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms,Ammunitions, Light Weapons,Chemical Weapons and Pipelines Vandaism(NATFORCE) has warned Nigerians, especially youths against actions that may jeopardize their future such as anti-government protests.
Former IPAC Chairman, Chief Dr Osita Emanuel Okereke gave the advice in an interview with newsmen in Abuja, yesterday.
Okereke who was speaking against a statement accredited to the former Chairman of INEC, Professor Attairu Jega who claimed that the Independent National Electoral Commissioned(INEC) has a Server while his predecessor who is the current Chairman, Professor Muhammed Yakubu has said there is no Server.
IPAC former boss further call on the operative of the Department of State Security(SS) to do their work by arresting all who are hell-bent to cause division and dissentient in the country also call for immediate arrest of the Professor Jega.
‘I want to use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians specially the elite to be very careful of their pronouncement on this mater of INEC Server, if there was a Serve while did successive leadership of the electoral body not transfer result electronically to the points where they where announced?’.Professor Jega should be arrested for misleading the country through a provocative statement’.
He lamented that Nigerian politicians don’t believe they can loose election advising those who have los out of the last pesidential or guber election to go home and restrategise for another round of elections that would take place in another four years.
On European Observers reports which was made public yesterday, Chief Okereke said,’ there where many things that happened during the last election which where not seen by the European Union observers since because they where virtually not on ground to monitor the election, they only monitored here in Abuja’.
Okereke also reminded Nigerians that all over the world, there is no place where elections are conducted under perfect conditions, urging people who are calling for mass protest against the government because of perceived elections rigging to have a rethink before Nigeria would be thrown into another circle of confusion making life unbearable to the commoners and ordinary people.
