Plateau Governor, Jang,From Ado Abubakar Musa, Jos

Following the rumour making the round that the Plateau State Governor, Jonah David Jang would single handedly chose the next PDP candidate from Plateau North to succeed him come 2015 election, concerned elders in the state have again warned the Governor to desist from such move, insisting that the next successor of Jang ‘ must come from Plateau south.

The elders who came from the southern part of the state, rejected the candidature of another Berom man, Senator Gyang Nyam Pwajok who hailed from same village with Jang, re-affirming that zoning in the state must be maintained.

Some of the elders strongly opposed to this political arrangement in the state include Senator Venmark Dangi, Second Republic governor, Fidelis N Tapgun, former governor now Senator Joshua Dariye, one time gubernatorial aspirant Mrs Pauline Tallen and Engineer Jimmy Jetto are elders who jointly condemned the move.

The elders who cut across all the political parties expressed their disgust and warned the ruling party “from the dangers of such imposition to the people of the state.”
