The Chief Imam of Jos, Sheik Lawal Adam, has called on Muslims and other Nigerians to embibe the spirit of forgiveness and love for the peaceful coexistence in the society.
The Imam who also called for togetherness, made the plea yesterday during his sermon at Eid prayer ground in Jos.
According to him, people must tolerate one another in peace for the betterment of the society , adding that Muslims must put into practice all the virtues of Ramadan including good neigbourhood forgiveness, patience among others in their day to day activities.
The Imam further advised Nigerians to pray for president Muhammadu Buhari sound health and God guidance, saying that Nigerians should inculcate the culture of praying to leaders at all levels .
The Imam enphasised that Muslims must not go back to bad practices and attitudes that would jeopadise their dignity.
The Imam further charged parents and guardians on good training of their children as they would account before Allah on how they shepherd their children.
He Muslim faithful to embrace fear of Allah in all they do and respect the law of the land and by so doing the society would be a better place.
