I’m hopeful for Voice return-Humes

Marvin Humes has revealed he is in talks to return to The Voice.

The former JLS singer, who is tipped to reprise his hosting role on the BBC singing show alongside Emma Willis, is keeping his fingers crossed that things work out.

“Yeah, hopefully. We’re just working it out now,” he said.

” I’d love to go back again. I loved it the first time around. I had such a good time working with Emma and all of the coaches so yes, fingers crossed I’ll be back again this year and it will be on TV next year.”

Marvin also revealed how he is producing a solo record, which would feature other singers.

“I am doing a DJ-producer album. I am producing a dance record so I am getting loads of featured vocalists, so I guess in terms of a solo career, it’s like what Avicii and Calvin Harris do,” he explained.

“Calvin’s a bit unique because he does sing stuff, but Avicii or David Guetta are the best example, where they’re producing a dance record and getting vocalists to come in.”

But he’s keeping his collaborators close to his chest: “I’ve worked with a few different people but I can’t give too much away just yet. But you’ll hear about it soon. In the next couple of months, you’ll hear my first record.”

The 29-year-old, who shot to fame with JLS on The X Factor, advised budding singers to be “well prepared”.

“You’ve got to be ready. If you’re a group, you’ve got to be as tight as you possibly can be. If you’re a solo artist, you’ve got to know your songs inside out,” he said. “Because once you get in front of those judges, you’re going to get nervous. If you’re well-rehearsed and know what you’re doing, you’re going to be fine.”
