From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina

The Katsina State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Salisu Yusuf Majigiri has vowed that he will soon expose his party members who defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state.
Majigiri, who stated this yesterday while briefing newsmen in Katsina, stressed that he would in subsequent media briefings expose the defectors, so that the public would know them and their character.
“Even some of them who left are now engaged in discussions with PDP members in their constituencies on the possibilities of them returning to the party,” he revealed.
The chairman further noted that there was nothing new in politicians crossing over to other political parties, disclosing that the Katsina PDP had also received some high ranking politicians of the APC who he said “crossed over to the PDP.”
Giving an assessment of the Katsina State led APC government, Majigiri alleged that the government has failed the people of the state, arguing that the state was dragged 30 years back due to alleged political ineptitude of its present leadership.
He further alleged that there was no single project initiated and completed by the incumbent government of the state, adding that all that was going on in the state was cosmetic repairs of government structures.
Majigiri also chided the government for its recent sack of the state commissioner of education, Professor Halimatu Sa’adiyya Idris, alleging that her sack was an attempt to politicize the state education sector.
The chairman who said the PDP would wrest power from the APC in the state in 2019, urged the state government led by APC governor to rise up and do the needful in delivering democracy dividends.
