Iliyasu emerges PDM Bauchi governorship candidate

Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) in Bauchi State has affirmed Alhaji Ahmed Iliyasu as the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 governorship election in the state.
The State Secretary of the PDM ,Alhaji Sani Waziri, made the announcement at the state Congress in Bauchi.
He said the party members unanimously endorsed Alhaji Ahmed Iliyasu un opposed as the governorship candidate of PDM in Bauchi.
Secretary said, “All the members have confidence in the aspirations of Iliyasu because of his character, integrity and exemplary leadership qualities.
Waziri said with Iliyasu’s essential qualities and experience, he has all it takes and all that is required to govern the state and rescue the state from bad governance. He also described Iliyasu as the only candidate that would bring the state out the woods, and he is the only person that will provide dividends of democracy to the people.”
The PDM Governorship candidate in Bauchi, Iliyasu, expressed his appreciation to party members for the confidence reposed on him by giving him the ticket.
“I am deeply torched by the confidence and the support you members gave to me, it is overwhelming. We need that in politics. I don’t know how to appreciate you dearly; you have done it all for me and the party.

“Although I have confidence that our party is a Party of peace and unity, let us try and be more fair, honest and just in our activities,” he said.

Illiyasu assured party members and the citizens of the state if given the mandate, he will make sure he transform the state to greater height with his wealth of experience. He, therefore, seeks the support of all, saying, “We need to come together and commit ourselves to see that we took over from the present administration,” he said.
