Nigeria and Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has congratulated his former club, Manchester City after winning the English Premier League.
The Super Eagles international said Manchester is Blue after Pep Guardiola led the side to glory following their 3-1 win on Saturday over Tottenham Hotspur.
Although they put their celebrations on ice as they waited to see the result between the second placed Manchester United, who lost 1-0 to West Brom on Sunday.
The shocking defeat confirmed the Etihad-based side as new champions for the 2017/18 EPL campaign.
Jay Rodriguez’s 73rd minute header for West Brom against United helped City clinch this season’s title since 2014 with five games to go.
Iheanacho has congratulated his former teammates including Ivorian midfielder, Yaya Toure on Twitter after leaving City for the Foxes in August 2017,
“Congratulations to Manchester City, Premier League champions. Manchester is blue,” he said.
Iheanacho joined City’s youth team in 2014 and graduated to the first team in 2015, he went on to make 46 appearances scoring 12 goals.
