The Ochi Igbo of Bwari Area Council, His Royal Highness, HRH, Samuel Uwakwe has identified peace as the only tool for achieving success in any society.
To this end, the monarch called on both Igbo community and other ethnic groups to join hands together in supporting security agencies and government to achieve its struggle for peaceful coexistence in the society.
Chief Uwakwe stated this in his message at the 2017 Igbo new yam festival held recently in Bwari stadium.
The Ochi Igbo stated that as Nigerians there is the need to ensure sustenance of peace at all times in Bwari communities.
He said the quit notice issued by some youths in the Northern part of the country was not in the interest of promoting peace.
Uwakwe urged all the Igbo people in Bwari to accept others around them, by ensuring that they work closely to keep the spirit of Peace and love, in spite of any circumstance.
In her remarks, the Bwari Area Council secretary, Evelyn Chukwu represented by Mrs. Cynthia Ogbonnna assured the Igbo community of the council support in providing enabling environment for peace to thrive.
The event was attended by Abia Women Development Union, Bwari Imo organisation, Enugu, Anambra and Ebonyi Unions.
