Ibeto-APCFrom Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has handed over all party machineries to the state deputy governor, Hon. Ahmed Musa Ibeto who dumped the ruling PDP for the APC on Monday after allegedly suffering injustice and humiliation.

Ibeto while addressing large supporters of the party after the inauguration of the campaign team of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello in Minna yesterday assured that APC enjoys goodwill and has majority support of Nigerlites as victory is certain for the party at the February polls.

He added that with the composition of knowledgeable personalities in the campaign team, the party will surely form next government at all levels of governance.

According to him, “Niger will deliver the Presidential position to the APC, APC will win all the 25 seats in the state House of Assembly, the 3 senatorial seats and the seats of the 10 House of Representatives and when the time of the local government elections comes, we will take all of the that too.”

Ibeto, who was made the leader of the Niger State APC at the event, said “The reason for this is obvious; we have the goodwill, the composition that people will accept. We have the people that are ready to vote our party. And even, when the time comes for local government election in the state, we will win the 25 councils also.”

He also assured that the APC in the state will conduct peaceful campaign that will not lead to confusion and breakdown of law and order.

“Our party will conduct our campaign peacefully, because, we are sure of victory. It will be devoid of violence, before and even after the elections.”

He expressed confidence in the campaign team, chaired by Alhaji Bako Shetima as the Director General and prayed for Gods’ guidance towards a successful elections for the party, adding that by June this year PDP will be an opposition in the state and APC will be in governance.
