The Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Mohammed Nasiru Maiturare gave the charge yesterday at its campus during the 13th Regular and 1st Part Time matriculation ceremony where he reminded them of the cherishing of moral uprightness of students.
Maiturare gave the breakdown of the matriculating students as UTME has 3,289 applicants with 3,244 registered (99.5%) while direct entity has 379 applicants with 256 registered (67%) a total of 3,638 applicants received that has already registered 3,500 (96%) in addition of 704 Part Time also registered.
The Vice Chancellor however applauded the state government for its support thus far especially in the constant release of its monthly overheads while he decried over the challenges and inadequate hostel accommodation and shortage of power supply as the institution runs on generating set.
He stated that the school would soon complete its 1,000 capacity ICT centre and revealed that the state government has promised to provide two hostels accommodation each for both females and males as this will go along way in reducing the plight of students accommodation in IBBUL.
Maiturare warned the students to desist from all forms of social vices like cultism, exam malpractices, indiscriminate use of social media and certificate forgery as any one arrested would be made to face the penalty accordingly.
Urging them to face their studies with ultimate seriousness for academic performance, their allegiance to the school authority just as IBBUL despite its young age has embarked on no fewer than five (5) successful research works carried out in both national and international levels which was well recognized.
