Governor Sule Lamido, of Jigawa state has denied stories making the rounds that he had been appointed as President Goodluck Jonathan North-West Campaign Coordinator for 2015 general election.
The governor, who spoke yesterday in Dutse, while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the PDP state caucus meeting, said, “As I am talking to you right now there is no official letter from the presidency or president himself appointing me as his campaign coordinator or what so ever.
Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido endorsed the presidential ambition of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
He further explained that, ‘’as you heard it, so I did, but nobody has contacted me. As far as I am concerned I am not appointed into the position of Jonathan Campaign Coordinator at any level either through the party or by the president.
“I am not President Jonathan’s Campaign Coordinator; I saw it on the pages of newspapers; this does not mean I was appointed since nobody contacted me personally or officially.”
However, speaking on why President Jonathan posters were not seen on the party’s campaign vehicles, the acting Chairman of the PDP in state, who is also the Vice Chairman, Jigawa Central Council, Alhaji Aminu Jahun said, every candidate had his campaign strategy and committee.
