A notorious armed robber who specializes in snatching cars, Aliyu Buhai, who is now in police custody,was arrested by men of Kaduna state Police Command has said that he has lost count of the numbers of cars he has stolen since about 5 years ago when ventured into his nefarious activity.
Buhai made the revelation at the Kaduna State Police Command headquarters, where he was paraded alongside other suspects for various criminal offences.
Buhai, who disguised under cover of a shoe-selling business so as not to arise any suspicion, said car-snatching was his main business and that he have a master key that can unlocks any car, adding that he has used the key for carrying out his car-snatching business.
“I’m into the business of car snatching and robbery for the past 5 years. I use master key to steal. I can’t count the number of cars I have stolen,” he said.
When asked to narrate how he ventured into stealing cars, Buhai said it was a long story. “I was initiated into the business by someone called Garkuwa, who is based here in Kaduna. I am based in Kano and I sell shoes. My boss sells the car in Niger Republic”.
Similarly, the Police Spokesperson, SP Aminu Lawan said two armed robbery suspects, Yakubu Hayatu, 27 years and Aliyu Buhai, 26 years were arrested with a Corolla car, with registration number AW 307 MKA, suspected to have been stolen from Niger state.
