Kebbi State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant, Mohammed Ibrahim Mera has charged Nigerian Politicians not to play politics with bitterness and stop using youths as political thugs.
Mera gave this advice yesterday when received party supporters group from across the 21 Local Government areas in the state and party stakeholders in his own country home, condemning the politicians using youths for achieving their ill motives.
Mera, who was a former Custom Controller and a younger brother to the Emir of Arugungu, said that if elected as Governor of Kebbi State he can performed better than the present governor.
Delivery his speech earlier, the leader of the delegates Alhaji Isaa Mohammed
Bagudo, alongside another delegation leader from Zuru, Yauri and Mayahma said that they don’t have any other candidate that would replace the present governor, most especially if he failed to win the court case before him.
He explained further that while making a passionate appeal to the aspirant, that they want him to accept the people choice he assured him that the party supporters from the 21 local government area are strongly behind his governorship ambition.
“We are ready to play politics in Kebbi State this time around; even if the Governor wins the corruption charge against him, we are not going to vote for him again; and if they failed to support us, then we are ready to leave the party,” he added.
Mera also thanked the party supporters who were drawn from 21 Local Government areas, and the party elite, adding that he is ready to serve the
people of the state and overcome any challenges he may encounter.
He also pointed out that the state government has failed in some sector, assuring the people that his administration is going to be a continued one and will do much more.
“Let me use this medium to inform the politicians that they should stop using youths for political thuggery; and youths should also be self-reliant,” he said.
