Edo state House of Assembly aspirant, Mr Osamede Edorodion has taken a swipe at the state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, following the recent outburst of the latter in response to the defection of some top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Edorodion who is seeking to represent Ikpoba-Okha constituency on the platform of PDP, declared that the Governor’s action has made the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) more acceptable to the people ahead of next general elections.
Speaking at an interactive session with journalists yesterday in Benin City, the State Capital, Edorodion, challenged Oshiomhole to stop making a `heavy weather’ in connection with alleged financial inducement against some PDP Lawmakers which he has failed to prove.
The aspirant urged politicians to put an end to name dropping during and focus on issue-based campaigns which he noted was the hallmark of democracy in civilized society.
He appealed to eligible voters in the state to participate in the forthcoming distribution of permanent voter card and registration by the Independent Electoral commission (INEC).
