Chairman of the PDP governor and Akwa Ibom state governor, Goodswill Akpabio while addressing the crowd said the allegedly missing $55 billion was shared among the three tiers of government.
“No money is missing; the money was shared among the three tiers of government.”
Akpabio said all governors elected into office on PDP platform who defected to the APC wanted President Jonathan’s sit.
“Any governor whose is not here today wanted Jonathan’s sit and because they could not get it, went to the aggrieved peoples congress, Nigerians cannot afford to hand over its leadership to people who are aggrieved and embittered, are you ready to go to jail? Are you ready to go to prison? Some of our fathers were jailed 310 years for crimes they didn’t commit, a leopard cannot change its skin, and they have been threatening us that when we win they will form a parlay government. Get ready to defend your votes; the people following Jonathan are more than those opposing him. To hell with their parlay government. We are going to win and win again.”
Earlier, South West campaign coordinator and Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko in his welcome address thanked the President that, in spite of being the most abused and negatively-profiled President in the history of this country, he has refused to roll out any obnoxious law of the semblance of Decree 2 of 1984.”
