A gang of hoodlums have allegedly invaded a Chief Magistrate Court in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, and carted away valuable documents and undisclosed amount of money
It was gathered that the building which also housed the Office of the State Library Board, Office of the Delta State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development and the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and Social Development were ransacked on Monday.
Source in the community told our correspondent that the four unidentified armed men ransacked the office at the wee hours of Monday.
“The security staff attached to the High Court was beaten to coma by the hoodlums.
“Vital document and dome some money was stolen from the Chief Magistrate Court,” a source told our reporter.
One of the staff who spoke to our correspondent under anonymity urged the state government to post security men to the complex.
“If for anything, at least for the fact that the Chief Magistrate Court is also located in this building, there is no reason why the court should not have its own security men”.
