Healthcare: FCTA ranks high in hospital mgt

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has been rated high in the area of keeping the hospitals within the Territory to the desired standard.
According to the wife of Nigeria President, Hajiya Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, who made the assertion, said the FCTA through the Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) has ensured improved efficiency in healthcare services.
Aisha Buhari spoke when she led Gambia’s first lady, Fatoumatta Bah Barrow to Maitama District Hospital, at the weekend, as part of Mrs Barrow’s birthday celebration.
She noted that the hospital’s management effort in ensuring a decent place for treating of patients was a prove that the FCT administration is keen to what happens at the hospital.
She therefore assured the hospital management of her commitment to their well-being and encouraged them not to give up.
Earlier in her remark, the Gambia’s first lady, Fatoumatta Bah Barrow said she was at the hospital to mark her birthday with the patients and show them that she share in their pains.
Mrs Barrow advised them to be calm in the situation they found themselves, saying the appropriate authorities were concern about them and will continue to do their best at all times.
While receiving the August visitors, the mandate secretary, FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat, Barrister Amanda Pam, commended the two first ladies for visiting the hospital and the gifts presented to the patients.
Pam, who was represented by the Director Administration and Finance, Alhaji Surajo Ado Faskari opined that the Secretariat will continue to do its best to giving better health and human services to the patients within and outside the FCT.
