Hausa movie on Dan Fodio for lunch October 22

Hausa Movie on Usman Dan Fodio of Sokoto Caliphate will be lunched with a portrate of the historical background on the 22nd and 23 October 2017 in Bauchi.
The producer, Alhaji Aliyu Usman Babba, disclosed this when the production team visited the Palace of Emir Of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu yesterday, saying the movie on Dan Fodio is to be projected in Bauchi, and lunched on 22nd and 23 of this month before some northern traditional rulers, elites, academicians, and other members of the public.
He stated that it is imperative for authorities and individuals to contribute positively towards promoting of historical movie, pointing out that watching movies and films are the most effective channels to disseminate information and pass messages to the public.
Narrating the essence of the film, the producer, Alhaji Aliyu Usman Babba, said the historical film is to shape people’s thinking about their origin, history and background and to also make people informed about the true history of Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio who conquered the northern part of the country.
On challenges faced while producing the movie, Babba said a total sum of 80 million naira has been spent to produce the historical film which lasted for the span of 14 years, “as we use some locations in some neighboring countries as well as using the real cultural attires used by the then generations” .
According to him, apart from using some key points in some notable historical books in African archives, “we therefore conducted research from universities such as BUK, ABU and university of Sokoto where we got some useful facts and information about Dan Fodio.
In his remark, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu has restated its commitment to support institutions, and individuals towards promoting African history considering its importance in societal re-orientation.
