Gwagwalada: Political appointees charged to show committment, dedication to duty

Chairman of Gwagwalada area council, Hon. Mustapha Adamu has implored political appointees to always show commitment and dedication to their duties, to enable the executive arm deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
He gave the charge while inaugurating his cabinet, to assist him in piloting the affairs of the council for the next three years.
Adamu, who is also the chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), FCT chapter used the opportunity to thank the residents of the area for re-electing him into office.
He therefore assured people of the area that his administration would focus on rehabilitation of roads and provision of social aminities to various communities in Gwagwalada and environs.
Responding on behalf of appointees, the reappointed secretary of the council, Hajia Amina Alimi, enjoined the cabinet members to represent the chairman in their various capacities, just as she tasked them to shoulder responsibilities to reduce some burden of the chairman.
Alimi reiterated that she would continue to deploy her wealth of experience with a view to guiding the chairman to execute meaningful programmes and policies for the benefits of residents.
Not left out, the Special Assistant to the chairman on Media and Publicity, Alh. Baba Lado, assured the chairman that the appointees would not betray the trust reposed on them in driving the agenda of the APC administration in Gwagwalada.
Some dignitaries who graced the occasion were the former Bursar of University of Abuja Dr. Ahmed El-Yakub, Area commander Gwagwalada, ACP Sunday Okuebor, former Gwagwalada People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Ibwa among others.
