Gun-wielding men at the weekend whisked away the wife of the chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Osun State University (UNIOSUN) chapter, Oluseye Abiona.
The woman, Funmilayo, was said to have closed from her shop located at the junction leading to the university, along Ibokun road, Oke-Baale, Osogbo and was heading home in an unregistered Lexus ES 330 ash-coloured saloon car, before her attackers double-crossed her and whisked her away in their vehicle.

In the ensuing battle, the attackers smashed the rear windscreen of her vehicle and dragged her into their red coloured vehicle and drove her away, leaving her two children in the car.
Detectives from the state Police Command were immediately contacted and on arrival at the scene, rescued the two children in their mother’s car, while another detachment was on the trail of the suspects.
