The declarations were made during a Public Policy Dialogue on Youth Development organised by the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) in conjunction with the Zamfara Centre for Civic Engagement (ZCCE) yesterday at Karma hotel in Gusau, the state capital.
Speaking, a gubernatorial candidate on the platform of APDA, honorable Sani Muhammad Takori Gummi said, he has in his blueprint, a plan to secure employment for 6,000 graduated youths within his first one year in office as Zamfara state governor, adding that, “APDA will do everything possible to respect the law which direct for ensuring smoothie delivery of health services as well”.
Other gubernatorial candidates, including Senator Muhammad Dansadau, who is contesting under NRM and Kabiru Garba of NCNP, separately promised to give priority to education, security and farming with a view to restore commercial activities in the state.
Challenging promises made by the candidates shortly after the dialogue sessions, the state Chairman of the Budget Working Group, Malam Anas Sani Anka, cried that, he saw incompetence in the candidates as most of them did not even have knowledge on the Constitution which direct governments in power to offer free education from primary to university levels for the citizens.
