From Nosa Akenzua, Asaba.

The Almagamated Niger Delta Force has alleged that certain “Cabals” in NNPC have concluded plans to relocate the Nigerian Gas Marketing Company from Delta to Abuja.
In a letter addressed to President Muhammad Buhari and signed by six group of people, one of them Chief Temi Ayemi ( interface Ethics Coordinate), a copy made available to our correspondent, alleged that the said cabal kicked against the directives that all oil and gas companies should relocate to Abuja during period in which the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo acted as the President, stating that the management of NNPC and NGMC attempted to take over properties of SPDC and that their attempt was resisted by host communities, prompting NNPC and NGMC to label the said communities as hostile communities.
The Almagamated Niger Delta Force in the letter disclosed that management of the said companies visited a first class traditional ruler who waded into the matter and assured the companies of their safe operations in his domain adding,” Upon His Royal Majesty’s awaiting and assurance of safety and security, MGMC further planned to relocate MGMC headquarters to Lagos after which there was divided interest between Hausa and Yoruba which led to the twist of the matter.
Relying on its intelligence findings, the group alleged that a memo dated 3rd April,2019 was written to a top management staff ( Name withheld) in the Engineering and Technical Services Department in MGMC to the Managing Director MK Barau seeking the Chief Operating Officer Gas and Power endorsement Vis- a- vis from the Group Managing Director approval for the imminent relocation of NGMC to Abuja, alleging that in the said memo the sum of N120m per annum was budgeted for rent purposes to effect the relocation of headquarters of NGMC to Abuja from a budget code that has 294million naira for this agenda implementation.
The group further alleged that in a 5-pagee memo, Warri was described as insecure place for management meetings” Yet the oil and gas are not insecure to be extracted from Warri soils, it’s this vein that SPDC Ogunu premises had been jettisoned instead of working away with the community to take possession of the premises.”
