A Christian group known as Christian Association of Clergies in Nigeria has called for equitable distribution of appointments and positions in the country.
National President of the Group, Archbishop Yimam Orkwar of All Nations Evangelical Ministry in a press statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Pastor Ortindi Torough Baka argued that there is lopsided appointment and allocation of political positions in the country.
He particularly frowned at comments by the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA which revealed that they are behind the impunity in the President’s lopsided appointments.
According to him, the statements by NSCIA against CAN are nothing but fabricating, half-truths and outright lies.
They urged NSCIA to be careful of their inciteful utterances so as not to cause any religious crisis in the country.
Archbishop Orkwar urged for election of Christians as Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives as a way of ensuring equitable allocation of positions in the next dispensation.
