Group underscores importance of talent devt to youths

The Mad Dragon Entertainment’ has stormed Benue state to explore young entertainment talents as well as inculcate into the youths steps to take in actualizing their potential.
Tagged, ‘Live Your Dream Tour’, the executive director of the organization, Arc. Prince Ayo decried the situation where parents deliberately refuse their children to showcase other natural potentials endowed on them insisting on education.
While noting that youths could combine both education and pursuit for their talent, he regretted that this development has not only destroyed the future of the affected youths but hampered the progress of the society.
He disclosed that over 40 schools in the country have been earmarked for visit in its pilot programme to enlighten youths on the relevance of education and pursuit of their goals.
Ayo said, ‘we are setting off the Live Your Dream tour to take a message and opportunities to schools and institutions across Nigeria’. We are going to tour 15 schools cut across the Senatorial District of the State.
“The cultural mindset towards education tends to overemphasize the acquisition of certificates over the development of natural talents which may be more needful to the society”.
“The Live Your Dream Tour’ is aimed at inspiring teenagers and young adults across Nigeria, through music, fun games and speech, to bring their individual aspirations of life while pursuing academic goals”.
Mad Dragons which made its debut in Makurdi about two (2) years ago has successfully united a 17 year old artiste who had abandoned her parents and education.
Sharing her past with our correspondent, Miss Abigail Kanit said, ‘I did not know the importance of education as a tool to my aspiration, I abandoned school when I was in SSS 2 at Royal Ambassador Secondary School, Makurdi.
“Also, I did not see eye to eye with my parents, particularly, my mother who frowned at my dream of becoming a musician but rather insisted I should pursue my education”.
“But with the coming of this organization which discovered my talent it opened my eyes to the need for the actualization of my dream at the same time pursuing my academic”.
“As a result of this I have returned to school and re united with my parents”, she concluded.
