A socio-political group mobilising support for President Muhammadu Buhari, under the umbrella of Muhammadu Buhari Organisation (MBO) Dynamic Support Group, has alleged that the kidnap of students of Government Science Secondary School (GSSS), Kankara, Katsina State, was a grand design by detractors to blackmail the President.
Briefing journalists yesterday at the APC Secretariat, the National Coordinator of the group, Hon. Usmian lbrahim, said the president has achieved a lot since the inception of his administration, including railways, road infrastructures across the country.
MBO expressed concern on the abduction of some students of GSSS Kankara, Katsina State, saying it is a painful incidence designed to blackmail President Buhari, even as it appealed to the parents of the boys to be patient and cooperate with government as the security apparatus are already mabilised to bring back the boys.
It said going by the recent events in the country, one would be tempted to assume that the only happenings in the country are woes and catastrophe, saying though it is true that negatives do happen, the security challenges, economic recession and other happenings in the country tend to coarse everyone into believing that it is all woes, pains and ugliness.
According to MBO, “At the swearing in of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, 2015, he did emphasize his three focal areas; fighting corruption, providing security and improving the economy. These he has remained committed to achieve despite the distortions arising from economic recession and insecurity.
“I use this medium to commend Mr. President for remaining undaunted and focused irrespective of the distractions emanating from those he cherished most-the masses. If only we realise the pains, agonies and sleeplessness he underwent each time there is a negative occurrence, we would commend his untiring efforts to provide a better country for Nigerians.
“Compiling the milestones of President Muhammadu Buhari is not a mean task, this is due to the fact that he has chosen to separate politics from governance hence his decision to commit to visible and grandstanding performances above media hype.”
At this point, the group said it has developed a compendium of President Muhammadu Buhari Next Level achievements, saying it is a collection of ground breaking milestones of his administration, not minding the hue and cry of the critics who never saw anything good in the good works he is doing.
It said from its findings, many Nigerians are not aware of the giant strides of the government around them, or they just pretend not to know so as to find a ground to advance the condemnation of the Next Level Government of President Buhari.
It said the compendium of 5-year achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari administration highlights his milestones in critical sectors of the economy, including revitalisation of the rail transport, the positive stride in anti corruption fight with several convictions and monumental recoveries, coupled with institutional transparency and accountability.
It said “The Buhari administration is also impacting lives as the stimulus packages such as COVID-19 loans for MSMES, palliatives, survival fund, farmermoni, tradermoni and marketmoni among others are now available to cushion the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on individuals and corporate organizations.
“The country has witnessed his strong commitment to security through a coordinated and holistic approach to improving security architecture in the country; his penchant for creating a conducive atmosphere for free, fair and credible elections, his health system initiatives tailored toward improving health care system in Nigeria, as well as creating a space for digital economy.
“Also, education sector has received unprecedented attention from the Next level champion with several physical developments, research grants, policies and programmes tailored toward improving the educational sector and of recent, the improved welfare package and extension of retirement age for teachers.
“Through his undying commitment to the deregulation policy, Agriculture has taken a front seat in his policy direction since 2015, the anchor borrower scheme; the Agric Business Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS) the Mechanization initiatives, the commencement of local fertilizer production among others has pushed up the scale in agricultural production and save the country from its trade imbalances. Currently every geo-political zone is enjoying the touch of road construction with great economic impacts.
“The 285 page book is schemed into 32 chapters capturing several aspects of the grandstanding achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in various sectors of the economy with monumental impacts in every parts of the country. To present evidential reportage, the editorial team travelled round the country for physical visit to more than 80 locations with pictorial and documentary evidence”, MBO said.
“These are captured in the book which will soon be presented to the public before
the close the first quarter of 2021 Our intention is to produce 5 million copies of the book for wider distribution across the country.
“This is to give room for wide readership from the Federal Capital to the 36 States, and 774 Local Government Areas. The video documentary will soon be available for viewing on the various electronic media.
“Considering the above, it is our hope that you will find reason to believe that our President and his team actually meant well for the country and are working round the dock to ensure a better welfare and prosperity for all Nigerians”, according to the group
