As the 2015 presidential election draws close, a group under the aegis of Southern Mandate (SM) has said that Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s achievements in Kano would help them to bring the real dividends of democracy to the people if elected as President.
The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Ikonomwan Fransis, said in a statement at the weekend that the present government in Kano has actually spread development to all parts of the state.
“I want to implore all the state Governors in Nigeria to make out time to visit Kano State to understudy His Excellency Engr.Rabiu Musa kwankwaso. This will help them a great deal to learn how to bring dividends of democracy to the people in their various states.
“It is worrisome to see that state governors in Nigeria pay lips service to the developmental needs of their people. This is a major setback to Nigeria.
“To many Nigerians, Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso’s developmental strides in Kano are mind blowing. It is therefore important to mention here that it is not out of place for his colleagues to learn from him, especially those governors seeking re-election and those aspiring to be governors in their various states,”
Comrade Ikonomwan therefore said his group, having physically seen and could testify to the governor’s performance in Kano, recommend that Kwankwaso ‘is the best candidate to fly APC’s presidential flag in the forth coming general elections”.
Southern Mandate believes that the governor “is one man that can put a great fight and defeat the Goodluck Jonathan led administration.”
