From Femi Oyelola Kaduna

The Northern Nigeria Christians Political Forum (NNCPF) has called on political office holders in the country to run an inclusive government that will carry everybody along despite their religion or ethnic affiliations.
Kaduna Coordinator of the Group, Diji Obadiah made the call during the inauguration of the Kaduna state chapter of the Forum held in Kaduna yesterday.
Obadiah said time has come for all Nigerians to demand that the elected leaders perform what they are voted into office to do.
He called on all Christians to stop the practice of sit down and look and participate in Political activities in the country.
He said the criteria that will be used to elect next office holders is who is unbiased and ready to carry everybody along.
“What we are saying is good governance and fairness in the land and whosoever provide this will have our support.
“ The good governance is not for us as Christians only but our Muslims brother and even those who don’t believe in any of the two major religion in the country.
“We are focusing on good governance ,social justice for all citizens, respect for democratic values without prejudice to religion, ethnic, social status, or region,
“Nigeria is one but if we feel that some are more citizen than others the let every goes his own way and become an entity.
“We are declaring our support for good governance and let whoever is contesting prove to us with his score card and he will have our support, but for now we are waiting and watching,” he said.
Speaking on the Forum, Obadiah said it is a Christian coalition for politically minded people and advancing awareness to Christians to be political conscious and join political group or parties.
He further said the Forum which is non-denominational will support candidates with core democratic values for benefit of all Christians.
