A Non-Governmental organisation, Ivory Club of Nigeria at the Weekend donated relief items to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDP’s at Uhuogua Commhnity in Ovia North East, Edo state.
The Coordinator of the group, Mr. Hope Iyare, said the initiative to assist the needy as part of the activities mark the 2018 Founder’s day Anniversary.
Iyare who led other members of the Club to the camp, commended Caregiver at the Camp for keeping faith even in difficult times and charged privileged groups, organisations and individuals to assist the Camp.
He sued for other organisations, religious bodies and individuals to place a premium priority in helping the needy “We are here on this visit to make our contributions and show appreciation through these relief items to you for caring for these ones who have been displaced by Boko Haram Insurgency.
Responding, Solomon Folorunso, Coordinator International Christian Centre said they were encouraged and motivated by the show of love displayed by the group.
According to him, “With 3000 displaced persons in the camp we prepares approximately 10-15 bags of rice mixed with other food stuffs per meal to feed them”.
Bags of rice, beans, garri, noddus, clothes, antibiotics, anti-malaria medicine, learning materials and disposable hand gloves, were part of the items that were donated by the group.
