From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna

The Arewa initiative for Good Governance (AIGG) has raised alarm that some groups of people within the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina State have been hired to blackmail the Managing Director of Nigeria Ports Authority Mrs. Bala Usman
The Group stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Group, Mallam Musaddiq Abubakar alleged that plan to rubbish the character of the woman who has done so much to carry the next level agenda to positive end has been hatched by those who are afraid of her profile and were bent on pulling her down.
The group, however, exonerated the NPA boss from the crisis in the APC in her home state and urged those bent to stain her character to look at her parental and personal antecedents which have made her an asset not only to Katsina State but the nation at large, they argued.
They described the allegations as the handwork of enemy of the party and should not be taken serious by any serious minded person, especially those who know the background of the Amazon.
The statement added that, Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman who was a former chief of staff to the Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai has been a pride to womanhood and a progressive woman who should be rally round to succeed in her current national assignment.
The Group therefore advised the entire members of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Katsina State to work in harmony so as not to distract President Muhmammadu Buhari from his mission of taking Nigeria to the next level and also to support the efforts of Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman to elevate the revenue profile of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
