In a bid to cushion hardship of the teeming Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state, a nongovernmental organization, Khadija Trust Foundation (KTF) has distributed relief materials and health equipment to the IDPs.
While handing over the relief items to the Tsafe local government council, the Zamfara state Programme Manager, Malam Umar Aminu a.k.a (game-game) said, his group under the leadership of the Founder, Maryam Muhammad Aliyu Gusau, has decided to assist the refugees by providing the items with a view to reduce their feelings.
Malam Umar further said, the items provided include twenty five bags of Corn, fifty blankets, one hundred mats, one hundred kettles and three cartons of antimalarial drugs for both adult and children suffering malaria cases in the benefiting camp.
Other items were; Rapid Diagnostic Text (RDT) for malarial text by health personnel, multitude number of Zinc tablet and many cartons of ORT for children suffering diarrhea and other related diseases.
The programme manager called on other concerned groups and individuals to for the sake of assisting the IDPs making them no matter comfortable during their stay in the camp.
Receiving the items, the Chairman Tsafe local government council, Aliyu Abubakar who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Aliyu Yunusa Danjibga expressed appreciation over the gesture, assuring judicial use of items for the IDPs.
