Governor Yero laments increase in youth unemployment

Governor Muktar Ramalan Yero has lamented the increase in youth unemployment in the country as he called on stakeholders to contribute towards curtailing the problem.
The governor said it was the responsibility of all the people of the state to support government in its effort to provide employment opportunities to teaming unemployed youth in the state.
According to him, the solution to the problem should be a collective responsibility, saying government is doing all it could to reduce the problem.
Governor Yero represented by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Yahaya Aminu disclosed this at a reception organized by friends of Retired Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Alhaji Garba Makarfi, who retired after 35 years in Service held in Kaduna.
Governor Yero urged other people who are still in service to emulate the celebrant for his love for the indigenes of the state.
“We are here to celebrate DCG Garba Makarfi because he has done a lot for the indigenes of Kaduna State while in service. This is why we said the issue of curtailing youth unemployment is a collective responsibility,” he said.
In his remarks, Former governor of Kaduna state, Senator Ahmed Muhammad Makarfi, charged civil servants to always dedicate themselves to their work so that by the time they retired they would be celebrated.
In his remarks, Emir of Zazzau Dr. Shehu Idris, represented by Wakilin Wajen Zazzau, Alhaji Bashir Sambo commended the celebrant for a wonderful 35 years in service, saying indeed he is an illustrious son of the state because he represented the state well.
