Governor Al-Makura urges Christian pilgrims to be good ambassadors

Governor Tanko Almakura of Nasarawa state has urged Christian pilgrims from the state to be good ambassadors and of good conduct while in Jerusalem.

Almakura who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) ,Hajiya Zainab T. Ahmed stated this while delivering his well-fare message to the year 2014 Christian pilgrims yesterday at the Abacha youth centre Lafia the state capital.

“I urge you to desist from acts that are capable of tarnishing the good image of the state and the country at large. Such as drugs trafficking, abscondment and other social vices while in Israel”

Almakura told them that pilgrimage is an opportunity for one to renew his or her life as well as called on them to pray for the harmoniously and peaceful co-existence of Nasarawa and the nation at large.

He also said that adequate arrangement had so for been made for their upliftment to Israel from the National Christian well-fare board Abuja.

According to him “my administration is determined and committed in the continuing support to both religion activities in the state as well as I am delighted to see a great turn-out of my Christian brothers and sisters today”.

Also speaking at the well-fare ceremony was the chairman Nasarawa State Christian Well-fare Board Reverend Ken Madaki commended, appreciated the effort of governor Almakura for his commitment in seeing that Christian activities in Nasarawa state are “encouraged”.
